The Shipwreck
This work emerges from the quiet stories held within discarded materials…each element shaped by time, tide, and human touch. Shipwreck is a meditation on resilience, memory, and the unseen energy of the ocean. Weathered timber, once part of something whole, now carries the scars and textures of its journey. Its erosion speaks of salt, sun, and surrender that echoes the fate of vessels that are claimed by the sea. A large industrial bolt anchors the piece, a symbol of human intention and control, now softened by age and recontextualised within nature’s narrative. Rope, worn and knotted, suggests both connection and tension ties that bind, hold, and sometimes fail. Delicate strands of jewellery are woven into the form, introducing a quiet contrast of human adornment meeting raw elemental force. These fragments hint at personal stories, lives once connected to objects now adrift in time, much like relics lost to the ocean floor. The sculpture rests on white cedar, grounding the work with warmth and calm. Beneath the vessel, a suggestion of ocean movement flows inviting reflection on what lies beneath the surface, both physically and spiritually. At its core, Shipwreck is not about loss, but transformation. It speaks to the ocean as a keeper of memory a vast, spiritual presence that reshapes, reclaims, and ultimately returns. What is broken is not ended, but reimagined On display and available to purchase from Seaview Artists Gallery, Moffat Beach.

The Elegant Pelican
Dimensions 90cm (H) x 90 (L) x 26cm (D) 9kg (Weight) This perched beauty is an enchanting, extravagant & theatrical. She is the epitome of grace settled majestically on her antique newel post. I created this piece after I fell in love with the antique timber newel that was recovered from the historical Tempe House in Wolli Creek, NSW. My love for nature and in particularly birds captured my imagination and the idea of creating a perched pelican on top of the timber grew as did the idea of the ultimate Showgirl created from recycled antique newel base, an old rusted machete for the beak, jewellery, an old brake rotor for the base, old candelabra, rusted metal leaves, reused feathers and an old teapot handle.

Two Gliding Manta Rays
This sculpture of two manta rays gliding above driftwood is created from reclaimed timber, each curve carefully shaped to capture their effortless, wing-like movement. Suspended over weathered driftwood, they appear to float in quiet synchrony as though carried by unseen ocean currents. The driftwood, softened and sculpted by time and tide, becomes the sea itself a symbol of life’s journey, resilience, and surrender to natural rhythms. Above it, the manta rays move as one, embodying harmony, freedom, and trust. Spiritually, manta rays are often seen as symbols of grace, intuition, and emotional depth. Their fluid motion reminds us to navigate life with gentleness rather than force, to trust our inner guidance, and to rise and fall with the currents instead of resisting them.
